Nigeria’s Super Eagles emerged victorious in the 2025 Unity Cup, defeating Jamaica 5–4 on penalties after a thrilling 2–2 draw at full time.
Goals from Moses Simon and Samuel Chukwueze kept Nigeria level during regulation time, setting the stage for a dramatic shootout at the Brentford Community Stadium in London.
Nigeria successfully converted all five of their penalties, sealing the win in front of a vibrant crowd.
The tournament, which returned after a two-decade hiatus, featured four teams: Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago. This edition was organized with the aim of strengthening ties and promoting cultural pride among African and Caribbean communities in the UK.
With this triumph, Nigeria secured their third Unity Cup title, having previously won the tournament in 2002 and 2004.
